Unless you've posted a private journal entry that only you're able to view, you probably want some feedback. Occasionally someone may stumble across the entry when they randomly search, but more often than not, you're going to need a little help to get a lot of comments.
Here are some tips for getting more views on your journal:
- Read Other People's Journals
When other people see that you've commented on their journals, they will sometimes return the favor, or click on your name to view your profile. Having an interesting profile may also lure them into reading your journals.
- Make Friends
On AllJournal, you can send friend requests just like other websites! Simply locate the profile of the person you'd like to make friends with, and send a request on the right toolbar. Being friends with someone means that you'll each be notified when the other posts a journal! This will give you both lots to read!
- "Feature" Your Journal
You may have noticed the box on the right sidebar that says "Featured Journals," along with a list of titles. These journal entries can sometimes become really popular, because everyone on AllJournal sees them! But how do you get your journal "featured?" Easy! By commenting on other journals, you've been collecting "points." If you have enough, you can bid for a click. If your bid is high enough, your journal just may end up on the list!
- Join a Group
By joining a group, you are on your way to making new friends, discovering new journals, and getting comments on the journals that you place in the reading list. Just remember to read lots of other journals too.
As you can see, there are many ways to get people reading your journals .There is one thing you are not allowed to do though:
You are NOT allowed to publicly promote your journal.
This means:
- Do not tell, ask, or bribe others to read your journal through use of guestbook, chatterbox, or comments on journals.
- Do not mention having finished, re-read or having touched up your journal in the guestbook, chatterbox, or comments on journals.
- Do not mention the title of your journal entry, and do not ask others for their opinions publicly.
If you would like to exchange a comment for a comment - like if you were going to read your friends journal and they were going to read yours - you can exchange titles through private messages, but please don't promote publicly.

Remember all these tips and soon enough your journals will be crawling with comments!
