    So I think I'm gonna try something...we'll see how long it lasts.
    This was inspired by the 8 letter words contest series by Wandering Woodchuck
    So what I'm gonna do is find an 8 letter word for each letter of the alphabet, and use that as inspiration; it will also be the acrostic part of the poem.

    i got to see gi joe with nick, and it was a really good movie
    we then went out with his family (siblings, parents, grandparents, a couple aunts, and cousin) for his cousin's birthday

    sweet: i'm gonna get to see one of my favorite bands of all time in concert. for free
    you'd think i'd be more excited right? well i was. till this--
    bitter: my boyfriend, who really wanted to come, can't go.
    we had it all planned out, one of his friends would come (including the friend's dad) one of my friends would come (and so would my mom, since were gonna be driving a couple hours and staying overnight)
    so knowing all this we figured it'd be ok with his parents....

    so the past few days in a nutshell:
    -5 hour drive to philly
    -taking pictures of the liberty bell
    -walking a mile to edgar allan poe's old house
    -walking the mile back
    -going to flight night for the eagles
    -flying back home the next day
    -staying till 11 at my boyfriend's house watchin movies and playing pool
    -volunteering at the library with him the next day
    -eating dinner/playing guitar hero with him after till 9

    and if you wanna know why......cause i'm missing my boyfriend
    that may not sound like such a big deal, but we're really close [we talk on the phone every day, and are used to seeing eachother every day]
    and i haven't seen him for 2 months
    i haven't even talked to him since monday cause he lost his phone and got grounded
    which now means we can't see each other when i get back [till school starts a week and a half later]

    and today i am informed that my boyfriend, who i've gotten into the habit of talking to almost every night this summer,

    and later today, he's going to his farm, where they don't have a house phone or computer

    so we don't get to talk for 3 days, and i don't get to see him for another 4 after that

    turns out he somehow managed to accidentally stab himself in the wrist with a knife

    i know i said it on my page, but i'll say it again anyway. i'm an atheist. if you have a problem with that, then i'm sorry you have that problem. let me just say that i have no problem with christians-i used to be one. my entire family (with the exception of my aunt) is christian. the majority of my friends -guess what!- happen to be christians.
    i promise i won't try to convert you if you don't try to convert me

    so i was on allpoetry and saw this thing about journals. thought i'd give it a shot. i don't really like writing in a book cause it makes me feel like i'm talking to myself, and i feel like i can express myself better if i feel like people might actually read it. i tried livejournal....eh, not so much. so i'll just get my thoughts out here instead. if anyone reads this, please check out my accounts at storywrite and allpoetry.
